PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Two Antenna units are strategically installed on conveyor systems that feed balers and shredders. These Antennas function as sensors and are integrated into the existing safety series circuit of the conveyor system. When a tagged worker traverses the conveyor, the SCAN~LINK system detects their presence. Upon detection, the Antenna opens its detection relay wired into the E-stop circuit, initiating immediate stoppage and preventing further movement and potential accidents. Additionally, a light tower equipped with an audible alarm is connected to the SCAN~LINK system. Upon detecting a tagged worker on the conveyor, the light tower flashes red and emits an audible alarm, effectively alerting everyone in the vicinity to the potential danger.

Housed in a rugged and sealed weatherproof enclosure, the adjustable

beam-shaping antenna monitors the danger area on the conveyor.The antenna system is designed to detect authentic "next-generation" SCAN~LINK RFID Safety Apparel. Magnets on the bracket makes for ease of installation. The System also has an external alarm to alert ground workers.

SCAN~LINK Armour™ RFID tags are passive and require no charging or maintenance once applied correctly. The tagged hard hat provides a 260-degree detection capability. Each set of tags has a unique ID and double lamination provides improved adhesion and durability.

WIRING SCHEMATICS

SCAN~LIN's RFID Detection System is intended to enhance the Safety Performance Level of an existing process, however, it does not have a SIL or PL rating from a NRTL. Our System is to be used as an additional sensor in the safeguarding process to enhance sensor the safety function of a machine of process that is already safty-compliant. SCAN~LINK recommends consulting a Functional Safety Engineer to provide a functional safety report for the overall safeguarding enhancement of the system utilizing our sensors.
